Just for my sanity Mike, being English I have never worked in decimal inches or used a digital caliper with a readout like yours.dontwantapickle wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 4:43 pmmaybe their QC has gotten better, I don't know, But.....

In your pictures the Dyna rotor has a smaller number shown than the stock, how does this make it larger?
Apologies in advance for being so dense!

Those were my pics, and yes, the dyna did measure just a hair smaller,
but for all practical purposes...
they are the same.
.8090 in. = 2.05486 cm.
.8095 in = 2.05613 cm.

Re: More on GL1000 ignition
Can anyone tell me if the early wing (1975-1977) stock ignition rotor that fits over the spark advancer is the the same as the ignition rotor for the 1978-1979 wings? Also If any one is willing to sell a 1975-1977 stock ignition rotor thats in good condition, please let me know, or if anyone knows where to find the rotor only, please contact me. Thanks, LARRY

Re: More on GL1000 ignition
The advancer is different. The round sleeve the lugs of the advancer engages on is part of that but I do not know if that is physically different than the later models.bigragu98 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 4:29 pm Can anyone tell me if the early wing (1975-1977) stock ignition rotor that fits over the spark advancer is the the same as the ignition rotor for the 1978-1979 wings?
