This is a very exciting build! And yes, you have some serious fab skills. Very creative placement of components to hide them too. The gauges set in the tanks is a nice touch. I would like to request a pic showing how you dealt with the crosstube below the head tube, that's the one aspect of the lowering process I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how that is moved back into place.
intrigued by the wail...seduced by the scream.

Re: '82 GL1100 Custom Cruiser Build
hey, sorry, I just saw your post... So probably the best thing to do is to check out "ol' sparky" by hott... It's on here and he did a great job describing his process. I had my computer open to those pictures the entire time I was cutting that frame. It was a bit nerve wrackingkerryb wrote: ↑Tue Jul 27, 2021 5:50 pm This is a very exciting build! Re: '82 GL1100 Custom Cruiser Build
You've done a fine job finishing, great bike! I have studied Hott's work for hours, guess I'll have to start cutting and bending to see how the final piece actuallly fits. It's all part of the adventure.

Ain't it fun! Great work.

Nice work!
This may be a stupid question, but what kind of shocks do you have on the back?
