Lotus cars during my life..........

#1

In 1993 when I was 50 years old I bought my 1st sports car, a 1990 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE with 15.000 mls on the odo......
I immediately did fell in love with this Lotus and the love remained all those 28 years.....
A couple of months ago (I am 78 years old in the mean time), I bought the last new available Lotus Evora GT 410 Sport IPS in the Netherlands and left my Esprit (with 32.500 mls) in good hands with the Lotus importer.

It was rather difficult to say goodbye and I felt a little sad to leave her.
Keeping was no option as I have in my garage room for only one car (and a 1975 Honda Goldwing GL1000 K1 motorbike) while I own 2 more cars (daily drivers).........

When saying goodbye and handing her over I kissed her farewell on the roof and thanked her for all the nice years together.

I am very happy with my new Evora and grateful that I can afford it myself..........

Bike of the year 2016 (wih 29% of the votes)...to remember this event...allow me to show you how beautiful she still is...however...
Of course I still have my '75 GL 1000 K1 / 11k miles / original Candy Blue Green paint / mint condition; unfortunately hardly ridden since 2016....less than 50 mls...sitting in my garage under cover....shame.
Moreover, a year ago I broke my left leg falling 10 feet from a ladder and still suffer with a difficult functioning / walking.
Impossible to handle, buck up etc my Goldwing now....especially since I am over 80 years of age.
I will have to sell it...that's a pity....especially with all the (night)work that I have done between 2014 and 2015.
We will see...that's life...I can handle that...better functioning of my leg is the most important thing for me!
