Pulling onto the Colonial Trail in Yorktown this morning and had to do a quick stop at a blind yield. Pants cuff caught on the foot peg and hung my leg just long enough for the bike to get past center. Once the 1800 gets to a certain point I can not stop it. Over she went and tumble tumble I went. I swear when it happened there was only one vehicle in site but by the time I quit rolling and got back to the bike they were about a half a dozen guys headed my way to help.
I got her back up in a just a second and no damage other than my ego I think it must have looked like the guy on the tricycle from Laugh In ( no political references please!)
Otherwise it was a lovely 200 mile loop today.

Glad your good and no damage to you for sure and the bike second. The ego is an easy thing to fix once your out of the area and back on the road.
I witnessed a similar thing a few years back with a rider coming to a stop at a red light. His pant leg got tangled in something on the side of the bike and stopped him from getting his leg down and over he went in slow motion.
He wasn't hurt either and no apparent damage to the bike.

I don't mind the ego thing really. Helps a guy keep perspective sometimes and not take oneself too seriously.
I was glad that I had practice picking this beast up. She is a handful but having done it now for several tire changes it was quite easy.

One day I stopped at the cemetery where my mom is buried and parked on a slight downhill. Bike rolled forward right off the side stand and went over on the left side before I could stop it. Because of the slope I could not lift and control at the same time. Found one of the caretakers and asked for some help. The crash bars are very well placed so no damage. Wish that was the only time.

Yea having it fall on the right side is easier I think. I reached across and put down the side stand and held the front brake while lifting and was able to set her on the stand nice and easy.

Only bike I ever dropped was the 1800 and that more than once. One of the reasons I sold it in 2015 after 13 years ownership was every year it was getting easier to drop it and harder to pick it up.
