I don't see the difficulty in pulling the engine compared to carefully removing the bolt. I'd probably have it out and back in already.

I recently used a right angle drill to remove a snapped alternator bolt on my Valkyrie.
I restored the thread and it's mint now.

Very time consuming but too lazy to pull the engine.

I won't tell how to get the bolt out (I like weld, heat, pentrant, & small movements) but taking the engine out is easier than many other tasks, you don't even have to remove the carbs! You will need a jack on wheels that will support the engine. I got mine on craigslist for $40.
