Charlotte NC Distinquished gentlemans ride

#1

Post by rcmatt007 »

Sunday I took my 76 LTD down to Charlotte for the DGR. It is 160 miles one way so on the trailer. Not nearly as many vintage bikes. Met Doyle (a member of NGW) who has a 79 wing. He was also at last years ride. Some pictures.

Good stuff! We had a fairly good turnout at the Detroit ride. We even had two '76 GL1000s. It would've been 3, but mine blew a tire literally the night before. I had to settle for the Valkyrie.
1997 Valkyrie- Light Cutomization, but Too Busy Riding
1980 KZ1300- Bike's Haunted
1976 GL1000 (Yellow)- Behaving Itself Rather Nicely
1974 Velosolex 3800- Better Than Walking
1972 CB750- Learning The Joys of 4 Cable Carbs
1969 CT90- The Most Fun You Can Have on 90ccs.
1965 CA77 Dream- Needs a Full Teardown, but Complete

All advice I give is only valid until an expert corrects me.

More great photos. I'm appreciating the Honda showing - 550s, 750s, umm 1000s. The Triumph cafe with the paint-matched helmet also looks very nice.

Thanks for the eye candy.

1979 GL1000 - Ginger Lynn, but not that Ginger Lynn (Wing and a Prayer)

1983 CB550SC - one owner, 5k, great paint & seat/good chrome (will soon sell)
1986 VFR700 - fun throwback in RWB

Active and Semi-active Project(s)
