Spark Plug Caps Fail

#1

Post by leonardhcross »

I started with 12 old spark plug caps out of 75 and 76 GL1000's. I worked hard to try and salvage whatever I could. In the end, I ended up with 6 that read at or near 5 ohms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-dabjT ... u3&index=1

Not unusual since they have a 5K ohm resistor inside and they are prone to fail after 40 years of service. It is 5K ohms not 5 ohms as you noted.

Go figure. lolol
