Latham Supercharger with sidedraft VV carb

#1

Post by CPOTED »

So drinking my Sunday morning coffee and checking the vids, I got a blast from the past. Back in the early 19and60s, before I discovered what fun girls could be, I used to build model cars and airplanes and I KNOW one of the plastic car kits I built had a Latham Supercharger on it.

Today's vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcXJPWqO4Bg

So anyoldways, I went searching around for what I might find about this thing, and found some interesting pictures.

SU Carbs? Why not?

I wonder if this old design could be fitted to a Goldwing?

Cool stuff right there, but I question if that supercharger wouldn't be to long to fit in the standard frame. Being that you are doing something a little different, you can always see if it will work if you can find one.
