The rubber strap that holds in the kickstart is something that breaks over time.
They are not available new from Honda but there is a Honda original that is pretty similar as in similar length.

It does not have this extra flap bit to help grip it but if you are not fussy about that then this works fine.

Here it is fitted in one of my GL1000s.
Not good for concours, but somewhat better than o rings or cable ties.

Not very expensive either, seemingly. I paid a lot more than that from Germany for the ones I got.

I was interested until I looked at the price of shipping (£30).. instaed I cut down my old battery strap and stuck together...
