East 2025

Post by Whiskerfish »

We had had I think 7 Members that have taken the lead organizing and hosting runs over the years with GREAT Success.
action1 action1 action1 action1 action1

They have each done multiple events so it is time to give those folks a break.

Looking for a new volunteer to take the lead for the 2025 East run.

Location is somewhat flexible but the Ohio Valley area seems to be centrally located and has great destinations and riding appeal. Early to mid September has worked well for us in recent years. Usually the worst of the summer heat is past but it is warm enough that our friends from the North can be included.

Typically 2 or 3 day rides are organized with meal and lodging locations scoped out.

If you are interested in taking this on you can post here or PM me to discuss it.

Yeah, I'm just being a complainer. As a school bus driver, I'm off all summer, and taking time off in September is a big no- no. I will say that the NGW ride in Arkansas several years ago (the only one we've been able to attend) was in June, and was a great experience. I'm sure we'll figure out figure out how to attend again, one way or another.

Thanks, but I have been conversing with OhioBill and he has committed to take the lead so I I think we are pretty set. Looking at the Marietta Ohio area with dates to come later.
