Has anyone put a chrome CB750K rear fender on a GL1100? I've done the CB900C front conversion, but never a rear. Anyone?

I did one from a HD but never a 750. If I remember right so long as it is 7 1/4 wide it should fit up fairly easy

Is the 7 1/4 at the wide flat section with the mounting holes or the back curved section covering the wheel and holding the taillight?Whiskerfish wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 8:06 pm I did one from a HD but never a 750. If I remember right so long as it is 7 1/4 wide it should fit up fairly easy

Re: CB750K rear fender on GL1100?
Speaking of front fenders, does anyone happen to know if a CX500C front fender will work on the GL1100? Both have 19" front wheels, but the width and mounting points might be different. I've done a CB900C fender before with a small adapter plate.
Just looking for options.

Re: CB750K rear fender on GL1100?
Here's my now sold 1981 GL1100 Standard with the early GL1000 front fender which was a bolt straight on the forks. The clearance was a little tight around the top of the tire, yet I never had any issues with rubbing or rain evacuation from the fender.
The CX500C I can't comment there on the fit of that fender.

Re: CB750K rear fender on GL1100?
Hello to Canada,
last year I fitted a front fender from a CX500C to my GL1000 (with the later fork). Fits 1:1 to the fork.
here the old condition with GL1000 front fender and here the conversion to the slim CX500C front fender. greetings Harald
