78 goldwing carbs

Hi everybody I am thinking of buying a 78 honda gl1000 engine with no carbs included are there suppliers out there that make new carbs for these engines with a reasonable price I would prefer set of 4 carbs not single

Nobody sells new racks of four carbs. You can only buy used and get them rebuilt. Or rebuild them yourself.

Carbs for a 1978 are pretty common, earlier carbs are harder to find due to there higher rpm power output.

Honestly the best route is to buy from a good rebuilder already done. That way you know what you have. It is easy these days to get used carbs that are in really bad shape.

i would have to look but I "might" have a set that I could go through and sell. They would be tested before they left here.

If you get the carbs from Robin, you will never regret it. But the bike must be ridden, as Honda does not design carbs to sit for 5 years with fuel in them.

If you’re not a purist, you can use 1100 carbs as well.
Not period correct, but I’ve used that arrangement in the past quite successfully …

he's the real deal. I don't know of anyone better with Goldwing carbs.

if you haven't done Goldwing carbs before expect to do them about three time before you get them right. You will get good at taking them on and off :lol:
