That's good to know, drove me nuts after all I've gone through with this thing. Only minor things left to do on it, unless something comes up.

Can happen a lot when they sit over the winter. Or when outside temps are cool.

Starter clutch on the rescue I'm working on is having issues, too. Catches about 25% of the time, but it now has about a half quart MMO in the oil (instead of the water, mud, and 9-year-old whatever else that was in it). Only 8.7 miles so farm so planning to get ~25 miles on it then change oil again.

Yeah hasn't happened again i've gotten it out a few times, still running the cheapest oil I could find at the time. Will probably change it soon. Good news Trip meter has decided to work again and no longer scroll the hundreds place up randomly, tacho has started to keep up with the RPM a bit better but still way laggy. May set it out in the sun let it get warm. Starting to get nice out here in indianapolis. Took some decent photos of the bike.

Pretty! My tach problem ended up two of the coils from the hair spring were wrapped around BEHIND the post it anchors to! How hard would it have had to been hit to do that? I was the first to open it. While I had it open, I put a fraction of a drop of silicone spray on the pivot. It seems good, now.

Long time no update... few problems I’ve ran across and about to address.

Water pump - seeing a coolant leak from the weep hole. Looks like a fun job...

Battery acid leak?? Doesn’t seem to be the battery itself I believe it’s over charging from the regulator. I see on the gauge it showing 14+ volts when the bike is running. Weird it didn’t go out the over flow but instead went out and dissolved the paint on my battery box.. sigh (note I pulled the rubber piece so I could wipe up the acid, which is why it’s missing in the picture)

Hopefully these are the last two gremlins, we resynced the carbs and the old wing runs so well. My cheap carb sync tool wasn’t great so we built one out of tubing and plywood and used atf inside. Super sensitive setup but a world of difference now that it runs.

A Covid BOTM is rare. This is the first one to gain the title in November ever. Congratulations on fine craftsmanship.
