Most XLNT work: 76 Cafe "Triple 9"
I believe this young lad has his wits about him! Excellent attention to detail, thoughtful mods, all the classic work needed for a classic machine.
Wonderful job!

Re: 76 Cafe "Triple 9"
Your bike is really nice!
I'm really into the cafe racer looks and looking at your bike is really the reason why I decided to buy a GL1000 1975 for my built.
I really love your seat, and those side cover for the tank you should make some and sell them!

I've had a few people ask about my tires.
They are Bridgestone Spitfire rear size 130/90-17 front size 110/90-19.

Do you have any information on that seat? It does not look much like the home made one from the begining of the thread. I will be building up a 78 in the coming weeks.

I really like what you have done, its as if Honda made a GL variant which you then customized. Very cool. JIM

Re: 76 Cafe "Triple 9"
The seat itself did not change from the picture but the seat cover did, My home made cover was a joke. At one point I made some new patterns and had my friends mom sew me a vinyl seat cover (As seen below) but it still looked terrible. I finally broke down and took it to a professional upholsterer and paid $160 for the new cover. The seat is the same seat you see on the pictures from when I brought the bike home. I shaved it, bent the seat pan inward and added a chunk of foam to the top to get the bump.jrwperformance wrote:Do you have any information on that seat? Upholstery is the one thing I'll never try myself. Everything else you can get right with a bit of practice and research - mechanical, electrical, painting, but IMO upholstery is the one time you need to let a professional do the job for you...

Any thoughts on what my bike is worth? I've been approached a few times and I never know what to tell people.

Re: 76 Cafe "Triple 9"
Hi Devo26. Would love to know more about your headlight bracket and indicators (yeah, I'm Australian)....am currently re-restoring a 1975 Wing and really like the bracket and indicator lights. Just hope my bike turns out half as good as your's has.....the 'Triple 9" is an awesome looking bike. Job very well done.
Hope you can help.
Many thanks,
Kel.
