Re: MY PROPANE POWERD WING
Wouldn't it be possible to contact the company that makes the tanks for propane and have a custom tank built that would look better on the bike i know it would be heavy but it would look better

Re: MY PROPANE POWERD WING
To me this bike would loose it's personality without the round tank. It looks great on there all polished up and really make the look unique.

Nice. Does this bike still exist and run? I work for a propane company in indiana and convert our trucks to run on propane.

Yes, unfortunately the builder is currently fighting cancer and the bike is sitting. I think he is home right now. Might drop him a pm if you have specific questionsbdukes wrote:Nice. Re: MY PROPANE POWERD WING
Still runs great!!! It was in another magazine article in BPnews when I went to the Southeast trade show in Atlanta last April. I participated in the Auto gas parade they had and someone snapped a pic. I have went to the Bergquist open house in Bowling Green KY for 3 years in a role.bdukes wrote:Nice. I told my wife, I've drove my old 55 bel-air since I was home and my rock crawler and the motorcycle would be today. She then threatened my life and said no motorcycle. I will at least have to drive it to the end of the road I live on before I go back to the hospital.
On a second note, I wouldn't mind a whole lot getting rid of this machine. I have no Idea what I could get for it and would be somewhat scared to sell it to just anyone. It would be a perfect bike for someone in the Industry. Good thing is, if I keep it and make it through this cancer, My fuel system will be the last thing to worry with. Brakes, battery, seals, tires and just a few other minor things is all I have to maintain.

Re: MY PROPANE POWERD WING
I'd be interested in keeping it out of the scrap heap if worse comes to worse. I'm not in the industry, but I'm good at keeping things going.
I have a friend in Nashville with a trailer.

The bike is essentially just another bike... The pilot is CRAZY.

Kevin:
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS on BOTM!
I never imagined a GL could rev as high as you've had her...(not sure I'd have the nerve to go there either...)
And I love the look of the polished tank.
You possess amazing vision, mechanical skills and guts to go where no NGW'r has gone before.
Keep up the fight...you are one tough dude...
I'm keeping you in my prayers.

Re: MY PROPANE POWERD WING
Does the extra weight up top throw the balance off any?
