Beezer..you got a lot going on there...nice turn signal set up. I want a light bar, as the single headlamp just doesn't reach far enuff for me. Thats on my winter list.

Looks nice, but when the headlight is on can other roadusers still see your turnsignals??
Looks a bit too close to the headlight to me.

Brant , no bending machine or the like , but with the VERY LITTLE bend the bar does need , can be done very carefully . But what I was thinking after was I may do all my fabrication out of 1/2 " pipe and have it treated and painted and also have the paint baked on and paint it the colour of my ride , I've seen that done and thought it looks dang good . All depends the look you are after . As most , it is a polished stainless steel , or aluminum pipe that is polished as like stainless to a chrome look .

Tiny signals close to headlamp

Post by Beezer »

Yeah, the proximity of the turn lamps to the headlamp was indeed a question in my mind as I set them up. They are very bright though.
Besides, I have a chopper background (Read in "NO DAMMED SIGNALS!") I didn't want no steenking turn signals in the first place, but alas, the "law" says I gotta have 'em. UG!
Chopper rules dictate:" One's bike is an expression of one's own self. Observe and understand, but do not critisize. Err, something like that! I understand if'n ya need a little more light up front, so a lightbar is probably just the ticket. Anyhow just wanted to bounce my own personal idear on what I preferred for turn lamps and I understand completely if it's not up to par with anyone else's idears for the ideal. My bike is mine, your bike is yours!
Whatever you end up with, you must take and post a lot of pictures to share with us so we can see what you ended up riding!
Glad I found you guys. We don't need no steenking Hawley!!!

Zryder wrote:Congrats AB , I see you can simply make up a braket with the proper centre holes to match with the front brake crossover on the GL . Dang they look good though . tumb2
I made me a bracket, Zryder, The holes on the lightbar are 11 cm apart, the bolts on my crossover are only 4 cm apart.
I am really worried about breaking off my crossover when I am riding Annie with such a load.

I started a new post on this subject also......
