The upholstery shop I took it to made up a whole new cover. They also put a thin layer of foam down over the top of my hack job to smooth things out, and it's actually pretty comfy.

I like how you were able to create the bike you want without destroying a clean original bike. Nothing that you did was irreversible (except the seat, but who cares about one destroyed King/Queen monstrocity).

What does that dyna ignition do? How does it set up? Advantages? Also what was the price you got the upholster to give you on the seat?

Dyna ignition takes the place of the points. Goes in and you set it up just like points. The biggest benifit is then at that point you never touch it again. Once you set the timing it's good for years. rcmatt put his on in '78 I think and hasn't touched it since. It isn't a Dyna but it is electronic ignition. If you go with the Dyna coils you will get overall imrovement in the performance of the bike also.

Robin1731 already gave you the info on the Dyna ignition, I'm definitely a fan of getting something less maintenance intensive and more reliable than points. The seat re-upholster was $120 after I cut down the foam.

Thanks! I'm sure the polishing I did pales in comparison to what stuff I've seen that you've done posted on here, but it still looks better than the pitted mess that was there when I bought it!

Polishing aluminum on a wheel is a filthy job but it's addicting. I guess because of how good everything looks when it's done. Your fork lowers look terrific.
BTW...A polished final drive housing looks really good. devil1

Could you tell me more about the front and rear turn signals and rear tail light? Specifically where you got them plus any modifications you had to make to install them.

Thanks

Your bike looks great, but watch out for that oil pressure gauge, there one on my brother wing that I have now, I swear that gauge has almost killed me a couple of time. Every time I look down at it, I drive off the road or run a stop sign.
