Hey Andy that's going to be a awsome bike when your done,so tell me about that Meanstreak tank.
1.Did you remove the factory Goldwing tank :?:
2.Does the Meanstreak tank now feed the bike :?:
3.Does the tank fit over the air box :?:
4.Did you have to modify the air box at all :?:

Keep the pictures coming.

Thanks in advance Roger

Must say that tank and headlight look great. Quite a nice build you have going there.

Ripped out the old airbox and bought a cheap 6inch aircleaner

Then i made a new base plate for the air cleaner to suit the wing

I dont know what this part is called but i had to shorten the big upside down V bracket on the top by and inch or so

I also had to cut and grind of the bottem to make it suit the top of the carb intake

Tanks mods-

The tank fit quite close straight up

Had to make a block off plate for where the old intake fuel pump was

Made a bracket for the rear tank mount out of angle iron and it bolted to the same place and then welded a bolt on for the top tank mount. Add some rubber on the frame and your done. Not too hard just time consuming

Also started work on the seat.

For me the seat was a bit too bulky. I wanted a sleaker look.

So i cut off the rear seat mount that gave the passenger so much height

And i chopped out a few inches under the seat where the fuel tank attaches. This now makes it easier for my rearend to sit lower in the frame a bit and backwards also.

I will built a nice fiberglass seaty panel nice and low to the frame and add a slight curve or cafe seat look at the end of the seat :o

Andy,
That's a pretty straight forward mod,so what did you do with the all electronics is there still room under the tank or did you have to relocate them to a different spot on the frame.

Thanks Roger

Nice pics and explanation. The electronics will be a tight fit, but I believe if you rework the wiring harness, you could get it to fit.
