Nope. Center stand is like any standard GL but I'm almost sure (without digging through bags of parts) the return spring is chrome, as is the side stand and side stand spring..

Is this Dog Boy's bike?

What did I miss?

How about a little backstory.

Thanks Al, cool story there. Guess I oughta look at the For Sale forum once in a while. ;)

I'd love to be in on this one and will do what I can ... remotely. Training in WI for my new career and looking into the forums on my (not-so-smart) phone.

Have not even looked at the springs yet, just know our "leg" that sticks out from the center stand has been welded/altered.

Kroosa wrote:If you decide to sell the 76 seat I am interested. As of now I do not have a spare 77/LTD seat to sell. I can get a carb garnish to you. I also have spare side reflectors I could add to the trade/sale price if you want to part with the seat. I believe I may also have a stock center stand around the shop I could let you have, and I may have a tail light as well.

PM me.
I am interested in those parts, but don't want to give up the seat till I find an LTD/77 model. Then if I have not traded the seat we can talk. I'll keep you posted.

Been cleaning and sorting the few parts I have here at the house. Carb linkage are starting to move. That is a good sign. Panels are in great shape. Think we got real lucky there. Think this will be a nice resto. Any of you guys wanting an LTD should keep watching closely. The owner told me when he parked it it ran like a dog. Think once we get the carbs right, tank cleaned (super rusty) and Al does his engine magic, this will be a winner! Oh yes and with new tires and 5 tubes will need for Greg to install, should corner like a cat! You got your supervising hat on yet Gord?

I have a center stand that I could donate. Might even be convinced to clean and primer before sending it.
