Set up the shipment today. Estimated time is 3-4 weeks. Just waiting on some information and Terry to drop it off at the shipping terminal (probably tomorrow), then it'll be in the hands of the professionals.

LH, I told you that you had one here in Boise. As you can see it's in my driveway not yours, but in a few days...

The PO, at 77, had owned this bike for 23 years and offered to advise LH on carb cleaning and any other info he could provide. The PO even p/u, from their storage, what appear to be the original tools with Kawasaki on them. I don't know if it is a full set but there is not a case for them. They appeared oiled and wrapped in an old t-shirt.

LH will be doing a HAPPY DANCE when this bike hits his driveway, I'm certain!

I am awaiting a shipping number from LH. When it arrives via txt/e-mail, I'll make the long 1.1 mile trip to their loading docks.

When I p'd/u the bike, the old gent felt really bad about the condition of the bike. He had been keeping it inside his garage/shop but had to park it outside for additional room for a project. He put the cover on it and later when he pulled the cover he found the deformed panel on the trunk and the clear coat loosing it's luster. He said he had no idea the sun would ruin the clear coat through the cover!

Hey, I just noticed I didn't get the cover. I'll have to call the PO, maybe I can get it.

That's the plan with this one. I may keep the bags for the occasional jaunt, but everything else is going. Going to need a pair of (PRIIIIIICEYYYYYY) headlight ears, but unlike other touring sets, the actual stock headlight and blinkers are just attached to the fairing. Good thing, cause those are really pricey too...

I wondered about that on the trunk. It's not a big deal because I plan on ditching it anyway. The paint on the actual tank/body panels still looks good, though, right?

Not bad, but clear coat is getting a little "milky" or unclear, IIRC. I'll look when I get out there and call you.

I've heard some pretty good reviews about these guys. The price was right, and having a dock less than 2 miles from Terry's house really helped things. We'll have to see how smoothly things go for me.

In other news, the keys and title showed up in the mail today. I'm getting excited!
