Should be 2 bullet connectors. Those should go in where the points harness currently plugs in up by the battery box. The others should be a hot power supply and a ground. The hot needs to be switched so it is only on when the key is on.

As mentioned, two go to the coils, one goes to switched "hot" and one goes to ground.

I think the instructions should be valid for wire colors.

I would ask to see the Installation instructions if there are some with the kits, please.
would it be possible for you to post a pic or two of how the ignition is hooked up? The guy I bought them from didn't have the instructions and the instructions Toehead posted don't look to be for this model.
Unfortunately, No.
In 2012 I removed the Martek system, and never took any photos of it for future reference.
In fact, eventually I threw it all away after receiving no offers to take it.
Robin had tried his very best to direct me to any Martek documents specific to the GL1000 installation and adjustment steps.
The only Martek document I could locate, perhaps the same copy Toehead has located, was composed specifically for early inline 4 cylinder Honda with points ignition systems.
Anyway....
There wasn't any discernable independent adjustability of the pickups, and I wasn't satisfied that the correct individual static ignition timing settings could be achieved. It almost seemed as though split static ignition timing would provide the method. :-?
Whether there was a dynamic running compensation built into the "control box", or some other presto chango gizmo was the conundrum to my aged brain.
Subsequently, after re-installing an ebay sourced points' baseplate assembly, I decided to go the Dyna S, Dyna 3ohm coils and their solid core wires set-up would be a best practice, instead.

This topic might be helpful for the wiring details:

You will unplug both condenser leads, too.
At this time, I'm not sure whether the ballast resistor is still left in the coils' + supply circuit, or not. It was still in circuit on my trike with the OEM coils still installed.

Also, I found a 9+years old Martek ignition topic wherein a Club member had offered to fax the installation instructions of his Martek to another member. No information whether it ever transpired.

On a whim, I sent him an NGW Club PM this afternoon to see if I'd get a reply. Time will tell!

I am not prepared to send him an email, though. Perhaps, another Club member could accomplish that task? ;)

Looks like my PM request to the long since active member for the MARTEK document is a bust. No reply after 6 days. :(
Did anybody perhaps attempt the email method to contact him?

I'm going to try to install the Martek. I'll annotate the instruction.

I believe the ones that I posted are about 95% applicable. I'll confirm and update. I also want to hook up a scope and see if it is a CDI or a TI like Dyna.

Got a bit of a chance to play with the Martek today.

1) Black is power, Green is ground
2) This isn't a CDI unit, it is a transistorized ignition, similar to a dyna. I am sure they made some CDI units, but this one is not one of them.
3) It seems functional. Both channels switch as they should on the bench when I manually spin the target.

More to come after I try it out :)
