One more photo. The plastic in the photo gets trimmed a bit, at a taper so that the seat base lines up with the tank shelter.

i never tried the bike with the factory shocks. These are RFY shocks, cheap Chinese shocks ( not Ohlins like the sticker says ). I like them, they are a little bit stiff. I chose them more for the look than anything. I’m sure for more money there are better shocks out there. Like real Ohlins for instance.

They have been fine for me. I’ve only run them this season. Just a little bit stiff. I usually lift my weight up a bit on the pegs if I’m going over railway tracks or the like.

I bought mine for 200.00 Canadian before I realized I could have got them for half that price. I see them for 80. To 90. US on eBay.

I've seen them on there as well. my air shocks are leaking and as of now I haven't been able to find the leak. I've gone off into the rhubarb twice now because the suspension bottomed out in a left hand corner after hitting a bad bump.
First time I thought it was rider error..second time we discovered a few issues with the bike. The shocks being a big one.

(No hijack ,but...) I put progressives on my 82, best 400.00 I ever spent. Well over 100K and they are still great. Now back to the Duck seat (real nice job too)

I did put progressives in the front. I never rode the bike with the old springs or shocks though so I can’t compare the ride, but I’m really happy with the progressives in the front.
