'Bout halfway through your ordeal, progress report? How did you get hammer toes in the first place? I know its not because you dropped a hammer on them, beer maybe ;) .

He mentioned in the original post that it is related to his diabetes.

A character in a book I read several decades ago referred to certain deformities of the toes (mostly having them angle inward) as The White Man's Curse because the toes of non-whites who didn't wear boots were straight and their feet generally more healthy. Since i retired and wear shoes/boots less often my toes have straightened out quite a bit...
I don't know if footwear played any part in Gord's affliction, though....

I saw that, it was my (maybe poor) attempt at a little humor.

Back to the Doc Thursday for cast removal and sutures out, the pins stay in my right foot for another three weeks though, so no riding, driving, or curling til the New Year.

Get well soon :-)

I know what it's like to sit around trying to heal up and only look at your bikes, hanging out for a ride but knowing you can't.

All the best, Peter :-)

Do what you can to stay in shape while laid up. Getting back to it is a biotch. I'm still puffing and stopping going up and down our stairs (2 stories on basement).
