Sorry been busy. All was good for us
Lost power when the eye went over and the back wall hit us. Only like 80 to90 mph where we were. Power was out for about 6 hours. No major damage just lots of little sticks in the yard. Cleanup took like 2 hours. So at 2 am today I drove up to SC. He got hit a lot harder from Helene than we did with Milton. I could spend months here cutting trees. We will hunt mornings and cut trees in the afternoons.

For us (me) The storm stuff was fairly normal. The ride down and then back up was interesting. On the way down I was opposite I 95 North Bound and all the evacuees. It was bumper to Bumper for 300 miles!!! I did not know so many cars existed! They did good. They had cop cars escorting gas tankers on the shoulders to get to the stations that needed them desperately. Florida is normally a toll heavy road system and all tolls were suspended. The Southbound was a car then a fleets of power company trucks then a car rinse and repeat. I quit counting different license plates on the power trucks when I got to 27. Same thing on a smaller scale withe tree cutting companies. Saw 3 different National Guard convoys. To witness the response in person is quite impressive. Something I will remember.
