This is the basic layout before all the decorations go up. There are bags of quilts to cover the hay bales and many many flowers the Bride and her Maids have been organizing. Should have another full morning then final preps for a 4 pm ceremony

Agreed lots of work but worth it for a one time event. Hope you can relax and enjoy.

Cleanup is 90 percent done. Unfortunately I have been mostly alone working on it. The boys will show up after work this evening and restack the hay trailer so we can return it. Get a oil change in my truck tomorrow morning then we will be ready to start rolling on Thursday. Down to Garberville Ca for one night the up to Crater Lodge for a couple nights. Been awesome so far.

At the Toyota Dealer in Coos Bay Oregon getting the 10,000 mile service on the truck before we hit the road tomorrow. What a beautiful Little town. I could easily live here.

When I lived in Northern California I ran the coast roads from San Francisco up into Oregon. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

101 is a beautifully scenic road. Numerous beaches and large rocks out in the water on one side and rivers and mountains on the other. Really breath taking as you come around some corners.

Unfortunately I have to fuel up the truck in the morning before we roll. A full dollar plus more per gallon in Ca than Oregon. 4.99 a Gallon instead of 3.89 in Oregon.

Even up here in Northern Ca the Cost of living is just stupid. My Grandson's other Grandparents are living on a large horse ranch their Son "owns" with his wife (She is running it for her mother and in the process of inheriting it) They rent spaces in their 200 stall barn and keep their 20 plus working Appaloosa show horses. Many are Champions or retired Champions. They are throwing in the towel and moving lock stock and barrel to Tennessee where they can afford to pay the taxes..... There are other reasons as well but not appropriate for this forum.

2 Days in the lodge at Crater. Would NOT recommend. The Crater is really nice and if you are a hiker you could be entertained for days. The road around the rim was very nice but closed about 3/4 of the way around. The rooms were "Spartan" to say the least. Wifi was very weak (non usable for the laptop and marginal for phones) no TV, no in room phones, no microwave (we carry frozen dinners to save a buck), had to unplug the room fan to plug in the coffee pot. Only Coffee available outside the dining room was the in room Kureg. The in house dining room requires reservations months in advance for dinner and cost ridiculous. Breakfast was supposed to be first come first serve. We got there at 7 (when it was scheduled to open) and waited 45 minutes to find out the "Chef" had arrived late and Breakfast would be delayed. Nearest decent restaurant for dinner was about 45 miles away. There is no thermostat control so we ended up sleeping with the windows open.

So, glad we did that but we will never be back.

Currently in a Beautiful Best Western in Orofino Idaho. Room opens out onto a patio overlooking the Clearwater river. Headed out in the morning to run LOLO Pass then the RMEF visitor center in Missoula then Bozeman Mt for the night
