Bob, I believe that if you’d have done that in “mph” vs “ kph” it would have been fine 🤔🤔😁,, something to do with the conversion factor I think 😁.

My '83 has a KM/h speedometer, speed limits have been posted in Km/h since before I got my license and I'm not into nostalgia enough to convert to miles.
On secondary highways with 80 Km/h speed limits at night the light starts glowing just before I reach the speed limit.

BTW, this is why you do not want to manually turn on your fan on the highway. Fan on can drop the fan voltage from 18V of free spinning down to 15V, and the fan then slows down and creates more aero drag.

Maybe so but it was nice to have the option when the thermoswitch failed on a very hot day.
