Thank you for the tips...I did make some changes today on the carbs....I'll update with the results..thanks again.

I'm short on time ...and just want to ride it...the build has been at 99% for too long.

Just wanted to let everyone Know I'm still alive. I haven't had time to do much with the gl the last few weeks. Still having some carb issues running rich. I readjusted the floats ran well for a couple of minutes...then floaded before I could synch again after the adjustments...will probably install new float needles and seats. the #4 carb air/fuel adjustment doesn't seem to have any effect regardless of the setting.. anyone ever have an issue like that?

I just wanted everyone to know that I haven't abandoned this site or the project. Its a long story but it includes divorce, working full time and going to school full time won't graduate (again) until next may 2014...the bike is stuck at 99% finished and until my schedule free's up I cant finish. I did give it a simple rinse a couple of weeks ago which is the first time its seen water since I started reassembling the bike. At this point I would be willing to pay someone to get the bike running properly so I can ride it (its killing me to look at it every time I pull into the garage).

Known issues...
The carbs aren't right even after rebuilding with Randaks kit and trying to adjust. I have fuel overflowing into the exhaust and through 1 of the carbs (can't remember which one).

Front or rear brakes won't pressurize....worked before..but powder coated...probably the piston seals but I don't know because I don't have time to troubleshoot.

brake lines need to be shortened...If interested..I need someone that understands the difference of trying to get something running vs. a frame off that has some issues.

Throttle cables sticky and need to be shortened..

sportster pipes need to be installed permanently..... (can have this done first if someone is interested in helping on the "getting it running properly issue"

I got it running after reassembly but fuel poured out of the exhaust and carbs etc.

Anyone interested please read the entire build thread to get a feel for the level of restoration and expectations of any work performed.

Thanks....Please email me at tylerreuthebuck@gmail.com

How close are you to St. Louis? Roady is there and working on bikes. This would be a good one for him.

edit; Looks like you are a ways from Roady.

Hi Robin,

I'm actually not opposed to taking it that far....I'll see if anyone responds that is closer first. Thanks for the tip.
