Forgive me Brother Bill, for I did not rest on Sunday. Rather I worked on a V-Twin and consumed beverages! But I have seen the light! And I shall be working on 4 carbs feeding a flat 4 now that I have all the jets thanks to a Brother! :-D (at least it was a Honda V-Twin!)

Took Brother Bill's advice and worked on the project this morning. I removed a helmet lock from the handle bars.
Image

The controls look good, but they should be black. I think they will polish up very nicely, so I am going to go with that.

I then dis-assembled and cleaned the rear fender and tail-light. I had two of them and between them, I think will be ok except for the taillight bracket. One was rusted and pitted so bad that I threw it out. The other has seen better days. Do you other team members have a better bracket? Let me know if I need to try to find one. Kind of interesting that our bike or the parts bike were once registered in Mayfield? Montana? Anyone from around there or know where that is?

Greg, Gord and Al, I was looking at my calendar the other day and thought we ought to set our first assembly date. Easter is the last weekend of March and I will be out of town in the middle of April. I am available April 6th or 27th. We probably should set a second (final?) assembly for May. I am available May 4th, 18th or June 1st. Let me know your schedules. ern

I think we should. Plan on Saturday morning, get as much done as we can and figure out we have yet to do and what parts are needed. I spent the morning with Streetwing working on the 90 and talked him into selling some of his 75 stock. we are in pretty good shape I think. Still would like to find a better tail-light bracket. Worked on the 898 this afternoon while watching the tournaments. I did some cleaning and painting, and finished my first parts. Worked on the carbs till I was too tired. Tomorrow I will try to get the pucks out. I have been dreading that. Hope it goes ok.
