Ric you are a very skilled craftsman / mechanic. Wow! Great job.

I have just one question with no criticism implied. Why not use the martini shakers? To my mind they evoke vintage. That is not to say that the HD muffs don't look good cuz they do. I was just wondering about the thinking behind your choice.

Dang that front fender cutdown was about the coolest thing I've ever seen. I could not even begin to imagine it. You will win much admiration from everybody who appreciates good work.

Well this little bump makes me ask, "How are you healing, Ric?" Are you able to ride yet?
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

macmusick; Why not use the martini shakers
Thanks Mac, well I guess if had a choice at the time I'd have used a set of Norton Commando muffs. Cocktail shakers ? Just never thought about it. Hmmm.. The HD quieters are the 22''ers, came cheap and have good chrome and a nice tapered tip. Oh yeah, and a good smooth tone. :orange
ericheath; Are you able to ride yet?
Motorcycle, yes. Bicycle? just getting back to it. I rode Eureka Springs. All good except for head wind buffeting coming home. That left me sore for a while, but I'm getting back to it. Even did some fab work on the HOTT SL this week. Look for some new posts. Thanks

Hi Ric,

It was nice to meet you today at Luckenbach. Your bikes look amazing...you did a great job on both of them.

Now I must get going on the restoration/"cafe lite" of my 76!

Thanks for stoppin' by Walt. Good chatting with you. Bring that cafe lite '76 next year !

I'm usually a last minute kinda guy, but this year I got there early. It was nice to have time to clean the 'ride in' off.

I've been checking out this site on and off for just a couple weeks and finally decided to register so I could comment on this build. Very nice work, attention to detail is excellent. Classy build. Later.
