I talked with the front desk at the Comfort inn, unfortunately the evening person not a manager. It sounds like after their remodle they will be a Best Wetsern, so who knows what they will offer in the way of breakfast,. She also said they could not guarentee certain rooms, E.G. the first floor rooms with outside doors. They do have an elevator.

We took the scenic route home. 50 to 250 to 220 and I81 from Roanoke. 75 miles longer but it took 3 hours longer to get home!

That is a nice ride across WV and Va.

I also talked with the manager of the Comfort Inn. She could only guarantee a $90/night guarantee and would not assure us of outside rooms. I think we need to look for a different place for next year. They are turning the third floor into a rest home.

I came across this property while doing a search on hotels.com and thought it would be an excellent place for a rally.

Maggie Valley would be a great place to see again. The infrastructure in the area should be repaired by then.
