Cliff,
The Dyna Calibration Shop Talk in "Electronic Ignitions" called "DYNA Electronic Ignition: How-To TIME/ADJUST by Octane"

Note that in my example, I only need to loosen the back side screw on the 3/4 module to allow the 1/2 module to be centered in its travel slots. No grinding needed. So Perhaps with the newer dyna with smaller modules, they corrected the travel for these 45 plus year old bikes or perhaps BADDOG with new timing belts is more like the bike Dyna used to design there plate.

Put 50 miles on BADDOG today and never did I see 2 cylinder mode. Thirty miles of that was at 70+ MPH where the old 2 cylinder mode would certainly pop up. So think this proves my coils are in good health and that the 1 and 2 cylinder Dyna module was in fact the only smoking gun.

I would like to do a dynamic timing in the future since some think a static timing could be off by 10 degrees but that will be at my leisure.

Well, on two cylinders it take WOT and dumps half the fuel into the exhaust so 10 to 14 mpg is all you can get.
