+1 on that !Casper wrote:Have a recording device with you, it at all possible, I am sure many of us would love to hear how it sounds. Good job on the vac manifold, nice and neat looking set up. The one I am playing with has a bunch of AN6 fittings and because of that it looks big and bulky.

Re: For lack of a better name...GL1100 FIT build
Got a lot done tonight...vacuum lines are all hooked up, rewired the intake air temp sensor and wideband o2 sensor...fuel lines have been reinstalled. All that is left is to fill with oil. Should have some video for Tuesday evening!
Not a bad view..temporary gauge setup...left to right:vac/boost, wideband, speedo/tach

Re: For lack of a better name...GL1100 FIT build
Had to redo one of my fuel lines, but other than that started right up! Enjoy!
It was pretty windy so there is a bunch of wind noise, but not when it matters...Also please excuse the lack of gear, normally I follow the ATGATT philosophy, but curiosity got the better of me. I plan on picking up a GoPro soon so I'll have better videos before too long.
I didn't pull very hard because I haven't looked at the tune yet, I just made sure I had plenty of fuel available in the boost portion of the table. The gauge never went past 5psi, and more likely 2-3psi. It spools instantly as you can hear in the ride videos. This is going to be a blast to ride.
Still fighting issues with the rear M/C so I'm just going to do the GL1800 modification. No more riding till I get that squared away, this thing is QUICK!

Auggg!!!!! I can't see/hear the videos. But that is mostly likely me trying to do this with a dang iPad. I will go and get my laptop and see what I see.

No, I think it is just an iPad receive issue. It worked just fine on my MacBook Air, the first try. Some days I do have a love/hate relationship with my iPad. But the bike is GREAT!!

Re: For lack of a better name...GL1100 FIT build
Absolutely awesome. Casper and RB and Norbert coming along too. Maybe we'll be able to come up with something that works for the rest of us. It sure looks like there's no way around more than a few Bens for this, but if it improves rideabilty, do it.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Re: For lack of a better name...GL1100 FIT build
I haven't commented on this build, but I've sure been watching. I can't think of a better time to chime in and say, job well done, sir.
ICB, you've put a lot of work (and money) into this ride. And it shows.
Kinda puts my '78 re-furb to shame. (But, you've motivated me to get off my tail and get back at it!)
Now get out there and ride it!
Have fun!

Well done!
Exhaust sounds really quiet for having that big dump tube, is it as quiet as it sounds in the video? Looking forward to the dynojet visit!

It is pretty quiet. Much quieter than the open headers.
