Why don't we make this Noon Pacific Time on the 28th in conjunction with the ride. That way we have some time and can get an announcement up so it gets some exposure.

That Was My Thought, NGW As One, But For Those Who Wish To Do Both, By All Means Bow Your HEad At Noon Today Pacific Time...

And Don't Forget That The 28th Everyone Can Take A Ride With Cookie Aswell...

I very much regret that I won't be able to make the ride as my wife and I will be in Colorado. So today, I did a solo ride for Cookie. This ride is something he and I had PM'd each other about last year. I offered to put he and Christine up for the weekend if they wanted to do Tahoe at some time. It never happened and I regret that.

So, in some photo's, here's the 101 mile ride I'd have taken with him had I got the chance...

Heading out from my place...
Image

Heading east out Pleasant Valley Road towards Tahoe - 10 miles of twisty and green
Image

At mile 10. Stop and gawk! Doesn't get any prettier than this.
Image

'Field of Dreams'
Image

Some real 'bargains' along the way...
Image

Image

Mile 15 - Slow for wildlife
Image

Mile 26 - Pass Jenkinson Lake. That's the Sierra's and Tahoe in the distance
Image

Mile 30 - Stop and stretch at Angle Falls
Image

Miles and miles - Chase the river up the mountain
Image

Keep going...
Image

...and going
Image

Mile 40 - 5 thousand feet, some snow in sight and it's still 75 degrees.
Image

A 'Highway Totem' along the way. He's a happy guy!
Image

Mile 45 - 6 thousand feet. Turn off the highway and start climbing. This road is a test.
Image

Mile 48 - Still climbing
Image

Mile 50 - 7 thousand feet and at the top. Look around, then...
Image

Head back down!!
Image

Thought of Cookie the whole way. I think he would have liked it...

I should make the memorial and ride on the 28th. I'll talk to Snowfan and see if he can make it too.
