Rebuild the water pump - Part 3 -

The outer diameter of the seal fits exact my 27mm socket wrench.
WP_Einbau_2_Dichtung.JPG
Let’s assemble the water pump.
WP_Einbau_1_Zusammen.JPG
This is the difficult part of the work… remember the impeller-diva. You have to use another socket wrench – here a 21mm as an abutment for the shaft.
Gegenlager.jpg
The shaft has to be hammered into the water pump by using a 10mm socket wrench – fits to the diameter of the inner bearing shell… remember the small alloy tube inside will transmit the power to the other inner bearing shell. And the 10mm socket wrench will wide enough to fit the shaft.
WP_Einbau_2_Zusammen.JPG
You have to hammer the shaft till you are able to mount the locking ring.
WP_Einbau_4_Zusammen.JPG
next see Part 4...

Greetings
Harald

Rebuild the water pump - Part 4 -

I used many 10mm washers to grow up the socket wrench.
WP_Einbau_3_Zusammen.JPG
Mount the locking ring by hammering it down till the locking ring will sit direct on the bearing.
WP_Einbau_5_Zusammen.JPG
After installing the new collars your water pump is ready to install into the lower front cover.
WP_Einbau_7_Zusammen.JPG
Please use new alloy washers for the three screws on the backside because this alloy rings will seal up your cover from losing oil. Look at the technical drawing (http://www.ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 053#p54053) above.
WP_Einbau_7_Einbau.JPG
And Front side
WP_Einbau_5_Einbau.JPG
Next I’ve done is painting the engine…..
Hope you enjoy

Hello,

I live near Adenau about 10km North of the Nürburgring raceway.

Everyone here is shocked by the events in Paris ... and we must not stop fighting against at the terrorist idiots.

thanks for your message
Events in Paris are really shocking ones but as Michel Audiard said "les cons ça ose tout, c'est même à cela qu'on les reconnaît" "Idiots dare anything, it's how we can recognize them"

One of my friends lives in Eifel too, but I don't know exactly where... I've always thinked that Eifel was a town, not a province... Maybe a future trip to Eifel with my restored wing... If I can find my Tools... and a free-timing machine lol

 a free Timing Maschine - that would be very helpful

yes, the Eifel is a province, the southern Border is the river Mosel, the eastern Border, the river Rhein in the North, ther ist Cologne and in the West Luxembourg and Belgium with the Ardennes. The Eifel is of volcanic origin and volcanic cones and crater lakes characterize the landscape.

Yes, it's a great place to ride dancr but the best place i've ever been with a motorbike was on Mallorca...

my learned profession is a car mechanic, but since 25 years I work as an IT Specialist
so that's my Special way to look the Problems.... lolol

And here my New Clatch Cables - part 1-

I changed the handlebar from a straight bar to a Italian Tomaselli Condor M-Style handlebar. The clutch cable doesn’t fit in length and the upper diameter of the Bowden cable doesn’t fit the new Magura clutch Lever. So I decided to renew all Cables, and found a perfect reseller for all parts I needed.
First I thought I’ll take stainless Cables – cause through the 49 individual strands in seven bundles the rope is extremely flexible. Normal Cables have 19 49 individual strands in 1 bundle.
But brazing brass nipples with stainless steel cables is very complicated. I had no success. Then I found cable made of galvanized steel in the same kind of 49 individual strands.
Used new Bowden cable sleeve and inner tube made of Teflon.
I had to redirect the clutch cable under the speedo cause with the M-style handlebar, the cable wanted to stay direct in Front of the speedo. Using 2 tubes of brass 10mm and 8mm.

Zug_2.JPG
Zug_3.JPG
Polished the new tube and mounted.
Zug_4.JPG
Because of this rounding, it is a real men clutch now, nothing for delicate female hands. :joker

next -Part 2 -

beautiful work, as usual
how did you seal the nut-lead (not sure of the name) at the end of the cable? (the nut that is inserted in the lever)
because I choose a smaller handlebar too, and the tension of the cable is very difficult to obtain
