Ray, all I do to edit it is to to do something to make the phone/ipad save the "new" picture. Such as slightly cropping it, or slightly turning it, save it, and then it will show up correct orientation when others look at it.

I have been recently having a problem with after fixing them, I will load the pic on the site, and when I preview it, it is black. If you happen to get that issue, then what I do is screen shot the pic, edit that pic, then post the "new" pic to the site, and it works.

Trying out the photo editing, thanks again.

While at Janus and talking with Woody; noticed he was using wooden blocks to lift the back of the bike. Shared some info & photos on what helped me.

The lift I got years ago included a scissor type jack.

Getting closer to the first oil change and hopefully installing a kick start assembly.
Headed west today to South Haven, Michigan. Temps were good, but the wind was blowing me sideways quite a bit.
Will be going to Jackson tomorrow. Bike is running great.

Those are extremely cool. I've developed a real attraction to small minimalist bikes.
I'm sure it's un-related to owning a goldwing lol...

Some Janus owners have noted how “upright” the bike sits on the kick stand.
While getting gas, there was gusting winds. Went to get a rag out of the saddle bag and the wind was taking the bike forward…. not good.
Decided to shorten the kick stand about 3/8”. Also, beefed up the section by the foot, and angled it forward a bit.

Certainly do not want that tipping over! My Dad’s Suzuki C90T always wanted to do the same thing and roll forward on the stand. Good that you fixed that little issue.

Attended the annual Owners Rally in Goshen, Indiana. I counted 80 Janus bikes from across the US.

Some updates. Installed a rear rack from MotoCult. Devin Biek is the owner. He was a co-founder of Janus Motocycles with Richard Worsham. MotoCult is an aftermarket supplier/installer, located in Goshen, Indiana.

Also, added a 30ml fuel bottle. Came as a package from Janus which included the bracket, Velcro strap and bottle top retainer.

Photo is from a trip to Concord, Michigan
IMG_6324.jpeg
The kick start project is progressing. Have the parts I think I need. Machined a used Janus right cover to accept a Honda XR400 seal. Also opened the shaft hole to accommodate the 2003 Honda XR400 kick start shaft. The XR400 shaft will need to be lengthened by 1.310”, because the Janus cover protrudes out further the the XR.

Stock shaft after annealing

Extended shaft, still needs to be welded

Is the fuel bottle for tuning? I think my Valk carbs hold about 30 ml. :-D

I take it they didn't come with a kick starter originally?

Tank holds 2gal. The fuel bottle is a little insurance.
You’re correct; the 450’s don’t come with a kick start (250 models do).

I don't recall if you said what you were getting for fuel mileage, but taking a guess that you do pretty well with it.
