Nice BOTM once again. Love your dual carb setup, let us know how much it improved the ride.

Congrats on BOTM, looks great!
Also like to know how it performs compared to the original setup. And a audio sample of the intake sounds would also be neat.

I love the bike. What windscreen is that? And what did you use for the rear fender/tail lite set up? Thx. And congrats.

windscreen is an Emgo Venom Mark II

The rear fender was a flat trailer fender I cut the flat flange off off lengthwise and then cut it in half and welded back to together to make wider. Made some bungs to mount to the original bolt locations. I can take some more pictures if you need more info.

The tailight is a cheap one off Amazon

A little project - Spin On Oil Filter Adapter
The aluminum base was pretty easy - measured/copied the original.Drew it up and milled it out.
The thread adapter I started with some 7/8 hex stock and did M20x1.5 thread on one end and 3/4x16 on the other.
I few iterations on the thread milling and made a second one a lot faster.

An older member here, Backyard Bob, made a similar adapter for many years and lots of folks are still running them.
He sold hundreds over the years
Nice work

Re: 1985 GL1200 Going Naked with Dual Webers
Always thought it was a good idea.
My Valk had it.
Question has always been... does it filter any better than stock?
I.E: is it worth the effort?

I think that is a question of the filter you use, not the adapter. I think it flows about the same amount of oildontwantapickle wrote: ↑Sun Sep 21, 2025 11:53 pm Always thought it was a good idea.
