Gorilla tape is just gaffer's tape with good advertising.
WD40 is just a water displacer. For everything else people try to use it for there's something made for the job that is far better. I haven't had WD in my shop for decades.
So far the plant looks healthy except for 1 branch that wilted so I cut it off and hung it to dry.

can't stand WD-40 for anything more than an adhesive remover. and duct tape, IMO, is worthless on all counts.

rained off & on over the last few days here & had to commute into town with the better half.

Re: Weather
Forecast says today is the last day of Summer for us here in Western New York. Sun and 80's today. Rain tomorrow and nothing but 50's and 60's after that.
Plan to spend the today sitting in the driveway with Mom soaking up the rays and enjoying it

Re: Weather
G'Day Gents;
Winter has arrived. We got about 4" of thick wet snow yesterday and 2" more forecast for today. UGH!!
BUT it is right on the freezing point so it could always be worse i.e. colder.
Come on spring

Re: Weather
We got about 3 or 4" of it too but I was too disgusted to post about it yesterday. The forecast says there's more on the way but it will be warm enough in a few days for it to all go away.
I'm deciding whether to harvest beets today or wait for that.
Eccles is still sitting outside. I have no Idea at this point when I'll be able to start parking it inside. The car isn't going to see the inside of the garage at all this winter.
Friends helped move some of the stuff that was in front of the snow tires to the basement on Saturday so I'm close to being able to get at the car's snow tires now. The earliest appointment she could get to have them put on is Dec 1.....

Re: Weather
I've stood at the top of mountains in Europe and North America in the middle of the winter with boards on my feet.
No problem.
Did 862 miles on the 1800 on a dreary 36°F day and it snowed for the last 150 miles.
Piece of cake.
5° below zero on top of a 100' aerial ladder at 1:00AM in a 30mph wind squirting water at an apartment house fire.
I laughed.
But I was a lot younger then.
This morning it was 44°F in Venice FL and I haven't been outside all day. What a wuss. I had a cat that would look out the window at the snow and he'd shake a paw and then go to sleep on the heat register. I understand completely.
And it's only November.

Re: Weather
Record high temp set here during the day yesterday.
When I rode the bike home last night around 11:00 pm, it was 35 degrees.
Rocky Mountain elevation + clear night skies = A cold ride home.

Re: Weather
That white stuff is all gone and it rained off & on all night so I figured I'd better pull up the beets while the ground was still soft. I was out for less than an hour but my fingers were freezing , even with gloves on.
I still need to dig the carrots but they can wait for a few days. I think I'll work on stuff indoors for the rest of the day....
