I rode the poop out of my 78 going to and from Smoke Hole WV. Quite a ride, the roads are fantastic and the bike ran like a dream. Started cleaning the new (to me) engine for the 75.

I rode mine to work with my son (16) on the back. The wife and I spent sunday on it in the mountains of Montana.

It was over 100 degrees as the sun set last night, at least 90 in my garage. I had run out of time over the weekend and was determined to put the radio back in, so I turned the fan on high and did it. Next weekend I'll finish the other details.

I pulled all the calipers and master cylinder off the bike. Now it's time to clean and paint. I'd like to powder coat, but that will have to wait....

Today I mounted some case savers (crash bars) from a 1200 on the 75. Right side went on real easy, left side not so easy. Left side may have been tweeked by the PO, had to really work on the lower mount. End result is good but it got dark before I could take a picture. Then it started to rain before I could take her for a spin.

Ordered the float tower repair kit from Randakk along with new float pins. Ordered one replacement slide needle, although I really want two. Finding these things in stock is a real challenge as I trying to get my carbs back together this weekend.

You know ya can zip tie an extra set of throttle cables and clutch into a loop, it'll sit right on top of your air breather. :-D
