Side Stand After lowering the shocks and replacing the rear tire with one that has a lower profile , I found that the bike was no longer stable on the existing side stand. I removed the stand and cut 3/4" off and welded back to gether, then re-installed. The 3/4" seems about right. I will be using the side stand a lot more as I have removed the centre stand completely and will be using that mount to help support the new exhaust system. I will miss the centre stand but I can always use the work stand at home to support it while making changes.

Everything looking slick. I noticed the rivets for the seat show, was thinking a couple dabs of black paint would help hide them.

Very nice. What exhaust are you using. It is tucked in nice and tight in the rear pic above. We need more pics.. it is looking really light.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Sunnbobb the seat is not installed, just kinda sitting there to give me some ideas on how to mount it. Eric, the mufflers are from Super Trapp and the headers are from Mac, joined together with a piece of fabricated stainless pipe that holds the O2 sensor in each side. The exhaust is just about finished, pictures to follow. Fred , it is really starting to look good, I hope it sounds as mean as it looks.

Here is a couple pic's of the air intake that is going on it.( White Trash made me do it) The snap on filters are more for looks than anything. They might keep large stones out. Should be able to here the motor breathing with these.

Love those webers, got my intake kit from Randakks Friday, and ordered carbs today. Your bike looks great! I am truly enjoying your build.

Wingrider I got the stacks and filters from CB Performance. Robin the O2 sensors are for the wide band air/fuel guages that I installed. I thought that the information these guages could give me during all stages of the rpm range would offset my lack of knowledge on setting up the webers. I installed a sensor on each side with its own guage.

I have a feeling we're going to see this bike a lot next year. For 30 days. And if you ever take it to shows we'll be reading about you in the bike-porn mags.

Impressive job.

The exhaust is from Super Trapp, and the new headers are from Mac. I wanted to keep the system short and tucked up tight, but I also wanted to include O2 sensors. I made up a intermediate connector that joins the headers to the mufflers, but also provides a spot for the O2 sensor and a secure mount for the entire system. With the centre stand removed I had the perfect place to secure the pipes with a couple brackets. The mufflers are only 8" long and I know that they are probably going to be loud, but with my hearing loss they should be about right. They came with 12 disc`s and I installed all twelve. If anyone has used this brand on a GL1100 or 1000 and can advise on noise levels compared to legal limits with this many discs, I would appreciate some insight. The stainless pipe and muffler buffed up like chrome and matches the headers well.
