I was wondering the difference between the 900f and 1100f, power, handling, etc.
Thanks dave
Thanks. I've posted a picture of the Vulcan and GL1000 - I didn't post one of the Vulcan earlier since I didn't think anyone would be that excited to see a relatively new bike.
The 750F is still apart - all of the bodywork has been restored and the frame and most of the components are powder coated. I have to soda blast and paint the engine, install 900F cams, and begin reassembly. Ironically, it was my first DOHC bike but keeps taking a back seat to the other bikes that have come along since. When I finally finish it, it will be like new again. When? Who knows?
The 900F has plenty of power, but the 200CC difference between it and the 1100F is noticeable. The 1100F growls when you jump on it, and it accelerates very nicely. I'd say it handles the tight turns a bit better - maybe the fork brace has something to do with it? The 900F is a nice ride though and has plenty of power too. One way to describe them is to say that the 1100F is a fast, yet civlized beast and the 900F is just fast and civilized. I love riding both of them although I love the 1100F just a little bit more.
