The pilot screws are not broken, but adjusting them in and out does nothing. :-?

I'm trying to purchase carb vacuum barbs locally. The motion pro brass ones are $11 on amazon prime but is like to get them sooner. Apparently, 10-32 thread fit 5mm just fine.

That usually means idle circuit and or pilot jet is plugged.

Not that I won't end up tearing the buggers off and cleaning them all over again, but I find it hard to believe because I have cleaned these carbs 3 times, prodded all of the orifices with wire, polished, dipped, boiled, you name it. AND it did exactly the same thing with the other set of carbs, which i pulled apart after and there were no obstructions to be found. I cleaned my rebuild-able fuel filter and installed a second in-line filter before putting the fresh carbs on. Now I know how Sisyphus feels.

There is a theory about folks who do the same thing over an d over, expecting different results . It sounds like a carb problem,....but maybe not

Yeah, the symptoms you describe point to idle circuit obstruction 99%, or more, of the time. Sorry.

And if so, a look inside the tank is warranted. Use a mirror and look at the top of the tank. They can look great on the lower 3/4 of the tank and be covered in rust on the top.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.
