A dremel with a cut-off sheetrock screw, some maroon scotch-brite, and a mint julip. Life is good! dancr

Nice work!!

Spent most of the day working on the carb for the tiller. Got that straightened out and rewarded myself with a short spin on the 75. Was going to stretch it out for a bit but the black clouds from TS Ana are making an appearance so I decided to tuck it back into the shop.

Well two of my grandchildren where here this weekend (mothers day in the UK) and my Daughter and her kids absolutely adore their step mum(my wife). My grand daughter is nearly 12 and my grandson nearly 10. They wanted to see the bike so took them round to see what was being done. Mt grand daughter showed great interest in how the thing worked and has decided that she wants a bike when she gets old enough. So when we got home, the garage is about a five minute walk from the house. I decided to show her some U tube films of bad Bike crashes. What I pointed out to here was that many of the crashes could be attributed to one of three things, the idiot rider, the idiot driver and the idiot pedestrian. But the over all reason was NOT LOOKING. to which she says well , I will look hard, I said good now I want to show you something else, we call it Road Rash.

ooh and ow and ergh as the film progressed. I pointed out to her that these injuries were all caused by Jeans, Shorts, T Shirts, no gloves and flip flops. And that all these things could have been avoided by stringent use of the right protection. She then said well when I get my bike I will wear the right clothes and protection, no matter how stupid I look. She then said as we went into the living room,

"Opa (that's Dutch for Granddad) when you die can I have your bike" couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. When her mother said " no, when he dies IT'S MINE"

Hows that for family loyalty.....

It seems PennDot or the USPS has lost my registration renewal for the 1100 so I have been forced to spend the past weekend riding the 1200... Not such a bad thing. crossy.gif

I went to a benefit ride on Saturday after stopping in to Gary's (DocRoot) house. I had a good time, aside from having to break off early due to sciatic pain. It was good to get back on the bike for the first ride of the season. See if you can spot my Goldwing.

Guy hit a pothole on the way to the cruise. If that's how a HD wheel handles a pothole, it ensures that I will never own a Harley. (of course I didn't say that out loud).

Aah the joys of VT potholes. I stopped to help a lady with a flat who hit a pothole 18" wide and 15" deep. One has to wonder how it went un-detected in the road ahead
I doubt that Harley rider was texting... maybe watching the girls??? :sleepy

Worked on Sprout's CX500 - took off the front caliper and drained out the water, honed the cylinder, freed up the seal... got it working. Friday I'll register it then I get the 77 back dancr

New tire came in yesterday but I needed to do errands today so maybe tomorrow after I get the grass cut I will swap the front tire out. Rode both the 78 and the 75 today. Both are running well. The 75 had signs of a leaking fork back in the cold and it got better as things warmed up but then it showed up again so I guess I best get some seals on order.

Pulled the trans cover off of the LTD to change the water pump. Glad I already had the bolt kit in it from a guy that sells them on here. ;)
