The bike looks ace.

Poor Bill at Magnacharger, that's the second sale he's not made as I'm not allowed by the French State itself to fit the blower that was supposed to be going on Mitzi the rig.
I really fancied a 120bhp yellow rig, too.

Drat those legislators......

Weird side-note, the French have had a ban on bikes over 100bhp for some years, so lots of big bikes are sold with the mapping restricting them down to between 95 and 106bhp. EU legislation is forcing the French to drop this from next year, though...

BUT they are bringing in a technical test for bikes, which up till now have never had one! :IDTS:

That's not bad but I would sweep it up. Following the line of the frame rail below the side cover.

Tried that, did not like it. Gave it more of a sports bike look rather than a bobber..

Yeah you're right, that would. What other pipes do you have laying around? Some old Triumph looking pipes maybe?

Similar to these. Maybe not the right style though.

Tried that route, but these are the pipes the owner chose.

Forgot about that. Your options are a little more limited then.

And they have that 'bulbous' look that really goes along with the curves of the bike.

Maybe just a little lift at the back would do it, not all the way up to the frame line.

to me it looks like the muffler will be sticking too far out, and drag... looks off.

those slipons aren't that tough to shorten. if you wack a few inches off of it, you'll gain enough room to pull it in closer and parallel to the centerline of the bike.
