So THAT'S where they all went :lol: Had a '71 510 but the rust got it. 40 mpg on regular gas. But we want to know how that '77 is coming along giveup

Carbs will be coming off this weekend and being shipped off to Pistol Pete for a freshening. While I'm waiting on that to be done, I'm going to replace the timing belts and check the valve clearance. anim-cheers1

Had a few minutes today and did this...

Picked up a spare front fender from a local 'winger that was pretty badly bent in the rear. Straightened it a bit, cut the "mud flap" off, and trimmed the rear edge to mirror the shape of the front. Made a card stock template of the curve on the front and used it to scribe the back. After some fun with a Dremel, the fender is symmetrical front to back now. :)

Gonna pop it on tomorrow. If I like it, I'll paint (or powdercoat) it black. I think it came out pretty good, and I'll still have the pristine original fender if I ever want to change it back. :8)
