More photos of progress.

My goal is to have this thing assembled and rolling by July 1st. :IDTS:

We shall see. I have some time off, with four day breaks and all, so hopefully it will be alive and ready by then. I guess I have to light a fire under my tail and get this thing going! :flamer

Oh, I forgot to mention, I am looking for stock valve covers. I have found that these Drag Specialties Covers do not have the look I am going for. Anyone have a set of covers they are looking to trade or sell?

Stock covers are nice. Pretty common on flea bay if you do not find a set in the for sale thread here. They pish up nice as long as the bike did not go Down on them. Love that hitch, seems to integrate well into the Vision.

I am taking a break from another day turning wrenches on the Barron. He is starting to look good and should be coming together in a big way tomorrow! dancr

I have received my new swing arm bearings from Wingovations. I have to say that I was impressed with the quality. This is my first time buying parts when OEM was not available. I will be using them again in the future!

The frame was powder coated and I had to press the swing arm threads back in. Press in the Swing Arm Bearings, and get the triple trees ready to be installed. The carbs have been broke down and stored in their own separate bins. I have to say Randall's video is spot on when it comes to building these things! I am waiting for a replacement screw kit to come in so I don't have to put those old beat up screws back on those carbs. lolol

I am planning to put the frame on the lift tomorrow and install the engine. Followed closely by the tank, swing arm, finial drive, and the triple trees. After that things will slow a bit as I am awaiting parts again... crying1

Here are some photos of today's work.

Happy Father's Day to those of you who are Dads out there. action1 I got to spend a couple of hours out in the shop today working on the Baron. :-D

When I started tonight, I had a empty lift, an empty frame, and a engine on a engine hoist. anim-cheers1 I was a man on a mission tonight, however, Murphy showed up and stuck his ugly little head into my progress. crying1

After two and a half hours, I have installed the engine, installed the tank, installed the triple tree, and installed the battery box. I have laid out the wiring harness to put back in the bike and prepped the swing arm for installation. action1 That is when Murphy showed up. The boot that covers the gap from the swing arm to the engine was sloppy. I have one on the way. Thank you Sunnbobb for your help with that and the Valve Covers! :-D

Tomorrow I work on the gauges, forks, and wiring. All will be good progress while I wait for the parts to come cross county. I am also waiting on a carburetor screw set to replace those ugly stripped out screws on my set before I put them back together. If all my parts come in this week, I hope to start this puppy on Monday! dancr crossy.gif dancr crossy.gif dancr crossy.gif

Seems like it may be slightly transparent so that it will darken with each additional coat. I may be wrong, but that might give you some artistic flair.

Well, after a month of life jumping up and biting me in the.... Well you get the idea... lolol I was able to get in the shop tonight and turn a few wrenches!!! It was a little better progress tonight. The swing arm is back on, and the housing for the "false tank" is back on. I am having a little CRS (Can't remember stuff) and need some help here. I can not figure out for the life of me how the wiring harness is supposed to run through out the frame. As you will see from the photos, I have tried, but I need a little assistance. Could anyone please post a photo or two to help show me how this goes?
