Hey, look at that old Goldwing!

When you explained the gas tank filler it all came together as

a concept.

Very nice !!

What is the plan for more cornering clearance?

Thanks all. :2thumbs

It does look half decent in the light. crossy.gif

Regarding cornering clearance:
I have raised the front 1cm already by placing the forks lower in the triples.
I will raise the back soon by playing with the rear shocks.

If that doesn't do the trick I need to alter / modify the downpipes.

Only time will tell if that is needed.

I will pick up the syncmeter tonight so hope to do that this weekend :orange

When the season is over, i will change the handle bar controls (all ready present)

Other stuff on the to do list are things like

paint the rear hub to match the front ,
fix leaky camcovers
match clutch lever to brake lever (allready present)

mostly cosmetic stuff

HOTT
Thanks!

I have just checked the valve covers - left and right, inside and outside (had them off due to a slight oil leak)
There are no manufacturers marks visible.

I bought them of Ronajan on here.

He, as the previous owner, had the same questions asked.
Sorry - No clear answer ... only the obvious: they are after market items.

I have been busy with the seat

Image

Image
This was the base

Thats how i secured the seat at the back

Image

I covered the mounting area up and drop the seat of at a local upholstery.
I told him my vision for the seat and of he went.
Upon his request i dropped by to see the foam done. I made one change: the area by the tank was to bulky.
The end result after one week:

And the bike:

Had a buddy come up with some idea's fot the graphics on the bike.

He is waaaaaay better than me with Photo shop or the likes.

Thís is what he came up with (all of his ideas/ styles in one pic) :

Image

I really like the Honda log on the tank an the line on the side cover.
I think i'll lose the race stripes on the front fender and fly screen.
I also think the whit on the back is tooo much.

I think i need make a visit to one of those car wrappers... soon.

I have beean cruising round town.

I have synced the carbs,
Next job: it is a bit lean around idle. (slow response and the RPM's hang)

Air correction / CO screws are 2 dials out BUT i have a K&N air filter with aftermarket dampers.
I will go back to a paperstyle air filter to rule that out.

After that... suspension time.
It sometime feels lika a pogo stick. It feels like i need to balnce the front to the back.

But: Ride height is spot on, cornering clearance GOOD

And..... It doesn't feel like a goldwing anymore devil1

I must say, you have some "mad skilz". That is one sharp looking ride. Love to see a walk around, fire up, and ride video if you get a chance.
