Elegant work on the tank. I take it you couldn't find your big rock and stick to pound it in. Been there, haven't done that yet.

I was thinking if it would work to put a vacuum cleaner on the filler neck & fill the tank with vacuum
then beat on it ??

Awesome video Fish. My sarcasm gets the best of me. I see so many technical posts that involve precise adjustments to make things perfect. To see a porta power jack chained to the frame kind of threw me. I apologize. No offense intended.

I love it!! Porta Power!!! In sub-station we used to have to pull 24 hours of vacuum on the transformers before we could put them into service. Those vacuum pullers/bowsers could get down to 1 atmosphere on those big tanks; I bet one would crumple your fuel tank in a heart beat....

I am deleting the tach, tach drive and fuel pump
I started cutting off the end of the cam W/ abrasive cutoff wheel.
I saw by the brightness of the sparks it was very hard steel.
I got it cut pretty goodly all the way around.
There was still a little left to cut & i decided to try (gently) whacking it with a hammer.\
I'll be dogged... it snapped right off.
It did not snap where I was cutting it.
It snapped off clean & flush
IDK how all that goes together but it looks like the tach drive & fuel pump is removeable from the cam... not an integral part of the camshaft???

I don't think it is. I had a left cam break off in the same place through careless shipping of the seller. Apparently it's a weak spot there. I plan on using these same 76 cams in an 1100 project, someday. They won't need the shaft for points anyways.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

'Borg buddy Thank you for noticing and asking.
I have allways been annoyed by all the cables & hoses & wires on an otherwise neat & clean front wheel, forks, headlight& handlebars area.

I am tossing around some ideas to minimise the brake lines.
I am thinking 3/16 steel lines will be almost invisible!
The loop the loop part is to allow the calipers to move the teeny bit they need to.
I have installed an electric speedo & put the flying magnet pickup on the rear wheel, so that eliminates the speedo cable

BTW IMHO eliminating the fuel pump & tach really cleans up the right head area.
