We thought we would stay at the motel 6 in troy, Beth has stayed there on trips, and it appears to be nice.

Too old to camp

I am planning on firing up the 78 for this trip (it feels neglected over the past two years) but Redwood will be on her HD. I am spending weekends getting the 1200 ready to paint, but it will not be ready. Part of this saturday will be putting a new front tire on the 78.

I'm sorry gentlemen but I will not be able to attend. I was really looking forward to meeting some fellow forum members. My wife has newly discovered health issues that we will be dealing with for most of the summer. Funny how life works. You plan your retirement and life throws you a curveball!

Troy is 35 miles away and close to our breakfast spot. Maybe we should do the family diner in Troy. They make a fine pecan waffle.

Sorry to hear of the health issues. It's been said: Life....it's what happens to you just as you were planning to do something else.

I would be afraid the family diner would be overbooked if we went there. Food is good but the dining area is small. Drove by a couple more places today but declined to even stop. Bob Evans is larger but a banquet room would be better yet. Do we have a guesstimate on how many may be at breakfast? I might have up to six with me (still checking). If anyone wants to meet up for the ride to breakfast, pm me and I will send my address.

Would like to take the group through downtown to see the arch grounds but renovations make passage through the area nearly impossible.

Would also be prudent to have a plan B in case the weather does not cooperate.
