Cookie, that is quite the compliment for my "Bomber!" build to be mentioned with "The Swan", I am truely honored.
How tall are you though? You said something about having long arms....I prefer the look of straight bars but having trashed my back and had a disc collapse and repaired, I wonder if they would work for me....I find the higher bars and more upright position suits me well.
I really am not that tall, 6' on the dot (1.8 M) but have long legs and arms. Granted I have not rode it any great distance yet, but each ride gets a little further.
Is that purple a stock colour?
Uhm... No.
That rusty left side bore seems to have come up well...what did you do, hone it?
:) you must have fast forwarded a little in the 40 pages. This is a different engine that came along with a parts bike purchase. The original and the parts bike was forwarded onto Raistromrider and is now his build "Bones".

 Makes it sound like an email. Before christmas I should be into the engines. Gonna do a little disassembly and checking to avoid the pains you went through Hoosier. I figure more then just the heads will be switched before I'm done. Watching you should help me avoid the "commin back apart" episode. Passenger pegs look sweet to by the way!

I plan on running that block as is, Hoosier cleaned the rust already. I don't think you can hone a cylinder without a re-ring?

I had it RIGHT HERE!!!
I hate this game of hide-n-seek, You'd think after nearly 40 years of wrenching on stuff I'd quite doing that crap. I usually put my tools away before going in the house for the night and do a spot inventory, everything is organized so if something is missing it sticks out, but I knew I was going to use it today so I left it out...
I got a 9/16 I can use for now but... ARGHHH!.

i have a cohort that alleges that there are TWO universes with two of each of us that exist on the same plane at the same time, the problem is that there's only ONE set of tools for each of us and our bizzarro twin, tools that can only be in one universe at a time! therefor when it aint where it was a minute ago and i just had the damed thing!!!!! chances are the other hoosier has it. it seems kinda far fetched but really cant argue with the logic.

So THAT'S the answer!

But what's the answer if you BOTH can't find it at the same time?
