Might be in for a re-do.
Momma has been saying "When are you going to take me for a ride?" for some time and this past weekend everything fell into place. We were both free, perfect evening, full tank so we jumped on and off we went. Rode to her work, then the lodge ( I had a Mnt Dew, she a Sprite) then took the long way home.
The bike was a joy two up, didn't phase it a bit and I could hardly tell I had a passenger. HOWEVER even though I built the seat with this in mind I could tell she felt uncomfortable at times like she was siding off. So I told her I would build her a back rest, nothing big, but enough to keep her on. That got me thinking.
I am in the midst of building another bike, an '81 CB750C in somewhat the same style of Bomber! so why not have this GL for the two of us to enjoy? Make it more "Milage Friendly", like Superbike or Daytona bars, the rear fender from the CB, and cut down the original front fender a little... maybe even a set of bags (GASP!).
The colors will be easily matched and I have most of the materials so....
Stay tuned I guess.

Since all my pic links went down the drain when the host "Webshots" went belly up.. here is this summers rendition. New Job has me commuting 20 miles to work so I added a little something.

It does, but I think a little purple on it would look better. ;)
